Automatic Timer for Outdoor Lighting

The Home Depot in San Ramon is now selling the Intermatic Model ST01 Self-Adjusting Wall Switch Timer. It is an attractive and unobtrusive timer that fits in the place of the current wall switch controlling your outdoor lights. It is about 35 dollars and has many programming features like automatically turning on your lights at dusk and automatically turning them off at dawn. It even offers the flexibility to set dusk and dawn to your preference and automatically adjusts for the varying sunset and sunrise times throughout the year without worry. It also changes automatically for the newly established daylight savings dates. During extended vacations, it even offers a random feature that varies the on/off times by 20 minutes making it appear you're still at home. In all, it offers up to 40 on/off programmed timers for any given week.

The Board of Directors has approved a new mailbox and mailbox post replacement. The new improved design is all aluminum and powder coated for ease of maintenance as well as being rust resistant. Residents interested in replacing their existing mailboxes and posts with the new approved replacement will not be required to submit an architectural change request. Replacements must include both the mailbox and post together with no exceptions and it must resemble the one pictured below. Any combination of new and old mailboxes and posts are not approved. Dual or multi-mailboxes and posts must be replaced in their entirely or not at all. All costs associated with replacement will solely be the responsibility of the resident and the resident's neighbor(s) in situations where mailbox pairs or more on a single post are replaced. The new mailboxes can be found at: mailboxesresidential.com , mailboxes4less.com and at The Expo in Dublin.

    Window Information

Do you have problems with your MILGARD "Quiet" line of household windows? Residents of lots one through twelve will be pleased to know that if you are the original owner, your windows are warranted for the life of your home. If you happen to be a subsequent owner, your MILGARD windows are warranted for up to five years after purchase of your home. Our board president just had three windows replaced at no charge in less than an hour. A frequent problem associated with these particular windows is an unsightly film that develops between the double panes that cannot be cleaned despite your best efforts. This happens as a result of poor installation techniques where the pane is not centered in the frame and the sealant around the sandwiched double panes makes contact with the framing material causing a degradation to the sealant which allows moisture intrusion. If your house backs up to San Ramon Valley Blvd and I-680, you have these windows on the first and second floors in the rear of your home facing the freeway.

To arrange an inspection and repair of any defective windows, you should call: 1-800-MILGARD for prompt repair.
